Lifetime Oy Launches DWS IQ Aegis — EU-Sovereign Dual-Use AI Platform for Defence and Regulated Industries

HELSINKI, 26 March 2026 — Lifetime Oy today announced the launch of DWS IQ Aegis, a standalone dual-use AI platform purpose-built for defence agencies, military industry enterprises, and dual-use manufacturing supply chains operating under EU regulation. Aegis covers all 20 EU-regulated industries and is available exclusively on European sovereign cloud or enterprise private cloud.

Named after Athena's shield in Greek mythology, DWS IQ Aegis provides protection through intelligence — not just walls. The platform packages orbital satellite intelligence, sovereignty monitoring, autonomous agent governance, and EU AI Act compliance into a single hardened deployment, addressing the unique intersection of defence requirements and EU regulatory obligations that no existing platform serves.

The Defence Compliance Gap

Defence and dual-use supply chains face the same EU compliance obligations as civilian industry — CSRD reporting, CBAM carbon border adjustments, NIS2 cybersecurity, and the EU AI Act — plus additional layers of export control regulation (EU Reg. 2021/821), data sovereignty requirements, and dual-use classification. Until now, no platform has addressed this intersection across all regulated industries.

Six Autonomous Agents, One Platform

DWS IQ Aegis deploys six specialised AI agents, each governed by the KYA (Know Your Agent) framework:

SAR Orbital Intelligence

The Argus agent is designed for integration with SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite data, including providers such as ICEYE — the world's largest SAR constellation, headquartered in Espoo, Finland. SAR provides all-weather, day/night imaging capability, enabling industrial infrastructure monitoring regardless of cloud cover or lighting conditions. The pipeline flows from Area of Interest definition through SAR catalog API ingestion, AI labeling, KYA governance, and into the Article 12 audit trail.

DEFINE / Defence Tech Hub Alignment

DWS IQ Aegis is designed for the Finnish Defence Tech Hub ecosystem, including the NATO DIANA Accelerator operated by VTT in Espoo. The platform aligns with the DEFINE programme and the 60+ member companies of Finland's defence technology cluster — including ICEYE, IQM (quantum computing), Kuva Space, Varjo, and Elfys. Research collaboration with VTT and Aalto University supports continued platform development.
