AI supercomputing meets EDA.
NVIDIA is bringing agentic AI to chip design — from tools to agents. The compute is theirs. The design IP stays on your floor.

The note, in one line
NVIDIA calls it “AI Supercomputing Meets EDA”: instead of an engineer tuning a tool by hand, AI agents read the whole design and propose the fix — design cycles measured in hours, not weeks. We cheer it. And for a design house, the RTL, the netlists, and the foundry PDK are the most guarded data in the industry. Agentic EDA only ships when the agents run on a box the design house owns. Good news from a good partner.
We have written before that the sovereign edge is still a box you own. Chip design is that box’s newest job. A modern chip carries billions of transistors; no human places them, verifies them, or debugs them by hand. EDA — Electronic Design Automation — is the software that does. And NVIDIA is now putting AI supercomputing underneath it.
And because cheering without thinking is not a business, here is the honest part.
